Lovely male here...He is scenting/tasting the air, he is also "tasting" you!

Ive only seen/photographed the 1 Adder so far this season myself, a young male.

Great looking snake! We (as in us living here in National Trust land) used to see LOADS of Adders and Grass snakes, as well as smooth snakes and slow worms, these days hardly any! Think I found one grass snake last year, did not see any for the three or four years before that, living out in the sticks I would find dozens and dozens twenty years ago. Habitat and prey seem to be the main contributing factors to the decline of the snakes in the UK. Big shame!
