I don’t if I am doing something wrong. In the develop mode I use the sharpening brush (detail section). I can see it’s sharpened but when I export a jpeg there doesn’t seem to any sharpening in that area. The acdsee support said the effect is very subtle. Are they fobbing me off?
 
I tend to use both Sharpen and Clarity in Edit mode, followed if necessary by the Detail Brush.
 
Thankfully there is someone who uses Acdsee! I am using ultimate 2020 but the previous version 2019 had the same “issue”. I just wanted to find out if other uses have a similar experience or it’s just me. I photographed a few people but due to the depth of field the ones behind aren’t as sharp. Hence the use of the sharpening brush to selectively sharpen the ones behind. If I toggle with the before and after I can see the difference but when I export a jpeg it’s not there nor is it visible in the view module only in the develop module can I see it.
