Advice with the rain...

Morning, i was taking photos at the football yesterday in the sunshine when obviously the heavens decided to open and soak me. anyway... i'm just after some advice or critique of these photos when the rain was very heavy. Obviously the action is the main focus but wondered if there are any settings in camera or in edit i could do in future to improve the photos? i feel it just looks a bit of a blur or like snow! plus the rain distracts from the players face in the second photo.

any comments welcome

cheers

You could probably screen it out with a bit of dehaze or by reducing the clarity, but to be honest, I really wouldn't. The rain is part of the story in these images. I had something similar at Oulton Park at the weekend - I was tempted to try and tone it down, but it's part of the story of the event:

I only have Lr6 so no dehaze, but I'd bring the blacks up a bit which would probably sharpen up the rain drops as well. I wouldn't think that was a bad thing?

The car photo above is fantastic - I'd be super happy with that

I wasn't super happy when the rain got drawn into my camera and lens and it went haywire!
