After the Kill

Good capture Neil but it looks under over-exposed to me, I would drop exposure a tad and increase contrast and blacks to make the image 'pop' a bit more :)

Yes, better Neil… but a tad more?

what a scene! Focal lenght?

Super shot Neil, --I agree with the above, a bit more punch with the contrast and a weeny tad with the colours and it would take this brilliant shot up a notch or two,

We arrived about 1 minute after the initial chase and buy the time I got my camera out the Cheetah had already killed the gazelle and was stood over the kill...............then this happened (It was a fantastic sight watching this cat do what it did)

Excellent capture, Neil...and what a sight to have seen, I bet you were over the moon.

Neil, once you got the DRL right, your image has all and
only the captured data. The next step IN THIS CASE, is
to tame down the mid tones which will render richer colour
without additional saturation.

Yes a few tweeks in the processing would be good but I'm guessing it was quite harsh light which can't have been easy to deal with. But what a magnificent cat. When you consider how close to the edge their lives are they are simply amazing, and it must have been a real priviledge to witness.
