Living quite close to Fairford we get to see these virtually everyday.
A very nice aircraft to photograph, thanks to those massive props!

please click on image for the large view, thanks.

It's looking pretty good to me. Sharp, good detail and not much wasted space.

Probably a Nikon D4s and an AF-S VR Nikkor 600mm f/4G ED :)

Thanks guys for your generous comments.
The equipment has been filled in by Kendo1(thanks for that).
Thankfully the aircraft was reasonably close and it was quite cool, so there is not too much heat haze ruining the detail
which can be a major headache with long lenses!

cheers

:)
The pic data said it was 106 metres.

Thanks Ian and Holty, glad you like it.
I think shooting up at objects whether it's birds or aircraft is not ideal, occasionally though we get lucky and things work out!
Being relatively close to this beast as it turned was a pretty impressive sight and sensation due to the engine noise, though I suppose they are relatively subdued compared with jets!

cheers

Bullysrus,
appreciate you looking and taking the time to comment, thankyou

Tony..I definitely posted (or at least wrote) a reply earlier. I'd clicked on the photo to enlarge it too, as you suggested but my reply isn't showing. I looked to see if there was a page 2 but there isn't.

It's an excellent shot and even better enlarged. Clean and tack sharp. The shade of the sky enhances it too so a good time to have taken it.Very impressive.

Nice photo. Love the crisp detail. And what to say about the props? Absolutely great. Just the right amount of movement in them. Thanks for sharing
