Snappers Choice: Very nice indeed, great colour and a nice close up composition.
Life: Another lovely image, really nice colours, rerally well exposed and the composition is perfect (including the DoF)

Interior is a very nice image Allan, liking the things on the table and thought it might.could be a work place. Good lighting and like the dark and light of it all.
Thanks Dave it was indeed taken at work.

Nice interior. I hope you got back together whatever is in bits on that table :)

Hi Allan,
You've taken a couple of lovely shots there. Life is very nicely detailed a has wonderful colour. Your Interior shot looks like something I'd see in an expensive property magazine. Very nice indeed!

Interior
The look of quality, the light and shadow is well balanced, excellent exposure on the window and a good composition.

Plastic looks creepy, 70D so is that a photo of a scan ?
It is a photo but it’s been processed, some might say over processed to look like this. I am not really taken with the subject of plastic so I had a play around to amuse myself really

Plastic is an interesting shot, I quite like the way you've processed it and the subject is intriguing. Nicely done.

Creepy, compelling and marvellous!! Love it!!
The processing is very interesting too - your amusement has certainly paid off, it's very creative and adds interest.
Excellent work Allan!
Thanks it is indeed a bit creepy

Plastic
Ok, that's freaky, scarry looking. I do like it though. A nice bit of pp also.

Agree with what the others said, a bit creepy and scary. You must have cropped quite heavily too?

Only a slight crop and a little straighten it was taken with a macro lens

Great shot, really suits the mono PP and bang on theme.

Great empty bench, with nice detail. I like your interior too, nice natural lighting. The plastic doll is just a tad creepy, I think Stephen King might like it!

Quick off the mark this week, Allan. Love the b&w conversion, suits the theme well. I'm trying to figure out what is empty in the shot? The seat or the church? I know a lot of churches in the UK are either empty or shut-down. They either turned into apartments, bars/restaurants or even casinos.
The seat Stan, the church is still functioning it’s Chester cathedral

That's a nice mono picture, I like the framing with the vertical wall extensions

Great image with a super, punchy mono treatment.
I love the symmetry, and the empty bench is spot on for the theme.
Smashing work Allan!

Empty
That's really good, very symmetrical and well possessed, with good tones. It shows emptiness.

Hi Allan,

  • Finally gotten to your thread being one of the three above my post...
  • Building - Looking at the image I'm sitting here wondering if the lad on the bench has an ice cream or is sitting there dejectedly. The building is a bit of a dichotomy between the tatty (old) roof and the seemingly immaculate signage.
  • Empty - The contrast in size between the bench and cathedral is what makes this for me. Mono suits it.
  • Plastic - Yes... Very Stephen King. And the processing suits the appearance you're after.
  • Interior - I do like the use of back lighting to silhouette the objects on the table that aren't transparent, contrasting with the lit transparent objects.
  • Life - Not really my thing, but well timed to get both of the methane producers looking at you. Hopefully they didn't subsequently charge at you.
  • Free Week - As always, your shots like this always rock.
  • Closed - As others have already said, the contrast between open and closed it what makes the imagery of this shot.
  • Dirty - Clever doing the colour pop with a background that could naturally be dark grey, making the pop feel more natural.
  • Quite a hard hitting sculpture...
  • When did you come over to the dark side? I thought you were a canon shooter.
  • Drink - Great imagery, very nicely thought out and composed .
  • Full - As ever. Excellently thought out, composed and executed.
