The sunflower is lovely. Nicely lit and composed.
Two fab shots - and very different. The lighting give the nod to the flower.
ThanksHi Allan
I think the Sun Flower works better with that bright yellow against the background, the little heffer is a little bit dull in comparison.
Pete
two different shots but thanks anywayThe colour and lighting on the sunflower makes for a good image making the calf a little bland.
It's the flower for me (but I'm a bit of a flower person).
ThanksNice cow but the sunflower...nice and different to usual composition and very nice colours.
That flower shot is beautiful.
Thank you bothSunflower for me as well. I love how it is not too bright so the tones feel deeper and helps draw your attention to the wonderfully detailed, although perhaps less celebrated, leaves and stem.
We have a patch on our lawn, but we now know that underneath - probably a good 6" or more, there is a manhole cover. The cat got blamed for agesThis reminds me of my grass where there's a small bald patch that for the live of me I can't seem to get new grass to grow, yet I get grass growing out of the strangest and unwanted places!
Nature really does find a way.
Yes you can't hold her back, eventually she takes over everywhere.

Thanks StanLove it, Allan. Simplicity at its BEST.
Very simple but a very bold statement!
Nice find Allan
ThanksVery nice shot Allan, liking the shadow too.
Hi Allan, nice composition by mother nature and nice colour, well spotted.
ThanksSnappers Choice: Another vote for the Sunflower love the vibrant colours.
Mother Nature: Great spot, nicely composed with some great detail.
Well spotted. I like the colour contrast of the bright green on the grey background.. it looks so healthy even though growing from the wall.
ThanksI like it - the contrasts in colour and texture work well.
Good contrast of colours. Also, it shows how plants manage to survive/grow in some of the most inhospitable places.
thanksThat's nice Allan. The bright green looks great against the colour of the wall.
Love the simplicity and the strong colours and shadows. Really nice.
Bloody stuff, the neighbours have some near my garage and now it's all over it !
ThanksGreat perspective and framing. Works well in B&W.
It’s a cathedral, thanks for looking inInteresting angle with the sign & light dominant over the Castle (?) turrets,
nice conversion Allan
ThanksLike the composition and the wall texture dominate the shot.
