I took the first two photos on a flight to Verona a few weeks ago. We were at 35,000 ft.
The last one I took on the return leg. Re quality it's rubbish, the window was very dirty and the sun was on that side but I just wanted it as a record shot as I was really surprised at how close Dover is to France. We were at about 25,000 ft by then en-route to Birmingham airport. According to Wiki that narrowest point of the Strait of Dover is 33.3Km wide. 20.7 miles. From South Foreland, NE of Dover to Cap Gris Nez, near Calais.
