Royal Parks picked my photo for their calendar. Always nice to get a photo in something like this :)

They even sent a free one to me as a thanks.

The problem I see though is you can get these kind of calendars for a few quid, where as they only sell online, so in total £13 for a calendar o_O[/url]

Nice capture! The back-lighting really enhances the image too.

Always a good feelign eh :) Happy for you :)

There used to be a lot of posts like this.. first published pic or a pic used for this that and t'other..but not seen one for ages....

Oh nice one Skyline. (y)

Is there somewhere online where we can view the other calendar photos, and how does one enter the 2019 competition?

I'm not sure about where you can view them. If you follow Royal Parks website https://www.royalparks.org.uk/ or follow them on facebook https://www.facebook.com/TheRoyalParksLondon/ they will tell you when they are doing the next one. I follow Greenwich Park on there as that's the park I go all the time.
They messed up with the facebook entries because they said the photos that got the most likes would win. What they wasn't thinking of is some people have a thousand "friends" on there and asked them to vote on their 'out of focus duck that was taken with an old toaster'. So after it was finished Royal Parks went quiet on the competition side of it. A month later they picked the photos they wanted in the calendar :LOL:

:LOL::LOL:

I want camera toast to come out of mine...

Thanks .... I see this now, just wondering what others there were, thought I might apply in future as I spend a lot of time in Hyde Park.

I got told by the guy that sent me the calendar that they had so many quality Deer photos they could have made up a calendar just with those. Deer (in the inclosure), Squirrels, Pigeons and Parakeets seem to be the main thing in Greenwich Park

People, Horses, Deckchairs,

I took This and This in Hyde Park last month, but they probably wouldn't choose either.
