i'm heading west for a road trip this coming wednesday. i'm hitting some familiar places and some not so familiar places. i've done some research on my new locations and scouted things using photo pills, streetview and flickr, but figured i'd ask for recommendations anyway.
has anyone ever been to capitol reef national park, great sand dunes national park and monument valley? if so are there any off the beaten path places i need to hit in these parks like overlooks or trails that aren't on the main road? i probably won't be in that area until early to mid october, hopefully at autumn leaves peak. thanks in advance.
