An ugly Bird

Some kind of Japanese Crow - I knew the name but I have forgotten it - Large billed something or other

posted just for interest - could not get near the thing - but it was BIG - I reckon Raven sized

Must be one of the most ugly around

I' guessing that the moult(?) around the head and neck is what is making it even more ugly as it makes the beak appear out-sized ... would imagine a Rook with the same type of moult would look very similar (except beak colour).

Hope you dont mind me posting this Bill, but I had an ugly looking Carrion Crow in the garden yesterday. Seems to be moulting a little also?

I know, it seems out of porportion for the bird, it's a ugly bird.

Ey Up, Bill...he'll look a whole lot better when his hair ( or should that be feathers ) grows back, impressive beak to say the least, bet he can do some damage with that.
