From Blaenavon head towards Abergavenny, about 1m outside Blaenavon you will see a pond on the right (keepers pond) turn left and follow the road past the the 'Fox and lamb' pub, there is a carpark about half a mile further, park here and walk on the ridge pathway ( its a comfortable walk) until you come to the 3rd quarry, the bird is usually in this general area.
