I think you need to isolate the robin more from the not so natural surroundings to make a robin photo work...not easy unless you hit the woods, or have a very large and leafy garden...

Nice idea with the composition, as Gary said...a little closer in and it'll be great

I'd personally crop out the feeder itself, but leave in the ironwork!

ok, thanks guys. I cropped it in. I'll have to take to the woods and get some better surroundings.

Shutter was a bit low at that focal length too so probably not the sharpest of pictures.
