Spending an afternoon/evening next week in Dingwall before heading to Ullapool to catch the ferry to Lewis the next morning.
Anything worth seeing up there?
Cheers

Rogie Falls is quite photogenic, depends what you’re interested in. Not sure how much water there will be, it’s been pretty dry up here recently, although we have had some rain in the last few days, some quite heavy.

Landscape or wildlife for photos.
Art galleries and museums for my wife :)

Have look at the excellent WalkHighlands. https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochness/dingwall.shtml

If the tide is right then the dolphins at Chanonry Point are good to see. - https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochness/dingwall.shtml

The parking at the point is limited and it is better to park at Rosemarkie and walk down to the point.

There is a museum in Dingwall but I'm not sure when it opens and Hugh Miller's House at Cromarty.

As above, but there is also a small museum in Rosemarkie itself, mainly dealing with the Pictish Trail I think. http://www.groamhouse.org.uk/

Chanonry Point for dolphins - be there before low tide and be patient. One of my favourite places - they are often incredibly close to the shore

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Called into Ffordes on the way :)
Great shop by the way.
We were exhausted so only managed to see a bar and a chippy....was in bed at 8.
Conserving energy for Lewis and Harris :)

Ffordes is great, it’s amazing seeing all the used gear they have. Shame they were burgled a while back and lost all their Leica gear.
Have fun in the Western Isles.
