Audi RS4 Photo/Video Shoot

Hi Guys

In order to show off a new carbon fibre rear diffuser, I gave the car a good clean and took loads and loads of pics, and a video, and thought I'd share the result!

The story behind the diffuser/valance is that I've fancied a part like this ever seeing pics of a race RS4 that had one custom made. I reached out to dozens of companies, eventually finding a chap on the RS246 forum that could help. After months of planning, 3D scanning RS4 bumpers, CAD designs etc he managed to pull it off! It's real CF, and he is now selling them through his company. I got the first one produced, and he's using the pics and vid of my car to promote the item.

The photos and videos were all shot on a Sony A6000, with a variety of 18-55 kit, 30mm F1.4 sigma, and 50mm F1.8 Sony lenses. Video edited in iMovie.

The location was stumbled upon by complete accident. I'd considered various tree lined streets, an old airfield, and a central London street...before coming across a new car park in Croydon. We had the top half of the car park all to ourselves!

N.B. Due to copyright policy on the music I used in the vid, it might not work in certain browsers on mobile devices.

looks a beautiful car

how does it ride on those "rubber bands" for tyres?

Thanks!

I wish they cost the same as rubber bands...

It's a firm, but adequately supple ride. It's on fully adjustable coilover suspension, set fairly soft as I have 2 sprogs and a wifey. The standard wheels are 19" compared to the 20" ones I have, so you do end up with a lower profile tyre which made the ride a touch harder but not bad at all. I've been in unmodified BMWs that rode harder.

It is a beautiful looking car

being an "old codger" I much prefer the 16" steel wheels with winter tyres on my Yeti to the 17" lower profile alloys

Nice car - used to have a B7 RS4 myself and am familiar with rs246 forums. In terms of the images the saturation is a bit too strong in the yellows in the coloured shots which catches the eye - when it should be the car/diffuser.

That's good feedback - thanks.

You had a saloon or avant (taxi or breadvan in RS246 lingo)?

Saw your video - thats a nice rooftop car park location!

Love a performance estate.

Only shots really missing are a dead centre shot from the rear (high or low) and a couple more shots showing the carbon and intricate details. Otherwise spot on.

Video looks really good, only thing I could think to say would be watch out for stray street lights sticking out the top of the car.
