Autumn in the forest

I have been determined to get some autumnal tree shots as its something I rarely try to do. The reason for this is I am not that confident at it mainly due to failed attempts in the past. This year I have done a lot of research into locations as well as keeping an eye on the changes of colour on leaves & direction of the sun at sunrise to try & minimise the risk of failure.

Saturday morning I met a good mate of mine & we headed up towards Thetford. The section of forest i'd planned to go to is a long avenue of beech trees & at one point the is a thin strip where the sun can penetrate into the woodland.

Thankfully the plan came together!

I normally stick to the coast but this trip has definately encouraged me to do more photography inland.

Lovely service. The first is my favourite closely followed by the third.

These show that you should do more woodland. The only ones I’m not keen on are 3 and 6 as the compositions aren’t as strong as the others.
