Autumn Ladies

Like the firsst one Gary, the plane of focus nicely placed between the OOF areas. Second one doesn't do much for me.
 
Yup - I am with Steve - first photo is excellent - really good sharp focus of the beastie! The second image is nicely detailed but the shadow at the top and the white plastic background let the image down.Perhaps a bit of guassian blur and tighter crop behind the bug may help - so it looks like she is in the top right hand corner of the frame??
