I very much doubt that these will be the only shots of "that" Dakota in Iceland but they'll probably be the first in this thread!!!

Possibly, I do know its a nightmare to walk to. Its opposite a lovely waterfall called Crammel Linn in Northumberland. Its Spadeadam ranges but this area is open land. SATNAV Crammel Linn and it takes you straight there. You can see the aircraft from the roadside. The walk, although flat, is treacherous. Its boggy, swampy land, covered in bracken and felled trees so footing is very unsure. One minute its solid ground, the next you're knee deep. Ive done it twice, on my own, with no mobile signal. Never again. Theres more in the flickr album.

014.JPGAn old Mig next to a housing estate in Bulgaria. I don't know anything else about it though.
It was a military museum but no one else was there and it was extremely run down.

Great thread, I'll look to add some later this week. we have a few bites and bobs lying around.

Looks like MiG-21, serial 525 at the National Military Museum, Sofia(y)

Less attractive, more poignant. A small piece of an Avro Anson which crashed in Snowdonia in 1943; all 5 crew were killed - two were from the Commonwealth, hence, I assume, the flag.

Just the propeller which was recovered from the sea bed.

Taken about 10 years ago, haven't been since but I think there is a new memorial there. Must go next time after lockdown of course.

Pentax K10D + kit lens.
