Ayrshire Coast

Very difficult conditions down in Ayrshire today. Lots of shots ruined by rain drops on the lens and had to hold the tripod most of the day as the wind was so strong. Nice recce of a few spots I have wanted to visit for a while.

Good pictures - can’t believe anyone would head out in that weather though risking gear and potentially life.

I stay well clear of the danger in terms of the waves. Years of fishing helps with knowing the dangers. The Nikons seem to do pretty well in the rain. If it is torrential the get carrier bag protection.

The Cloch lighthouse isn't in Ayrshire though.

I really like the last one too. Great atmosphere with the dark dark sky and the light shades of the mobile homes

3rd pic is the stand-out for me too- great dramatic light in the sky, and great atmosphere generally.

I was about two seconds too late as there was even nicer light on the caravans when I jumped out the car.
