Like the bw image Russ it gives it a classic look. to me it works well.

- Many thanks for the feedback - seems the preference is for the colour version

- myself, I'm unsure. Perhaps a b&w conversion suits some subjects more than others - but which? What are the criteria?

I have to say I prefer the B&W, but then I've a bit of a soft spot for all things mono!!

I just think it give a real sense of majesty because all the focus is on the deer!

- I'm still not sure about the mono version, but the responses so far are split 50/50 - so it's good that we all can get something positive out of each rendition!

wildlife and b&w is very subjective, a lot of people say colour all the way to show the beauty of nature, me I think colour was not always available so it is nice to see it b&w sometimes when the subject suits, for me yours works

- for me, I think it's a shame we don't see more B&W work here on the wildlife forums when the subject matter is considered appropriate. I'm sure we could learn a lot from it.
