Not sure what to improve.. I think they're lovely

I agree - lovely photos. Would have been complete if you had a 3rd pic in the series - of the dog looking/coming towards you. There is an air of 'something hidden' in the existing pair - but they are interesting for that, and for the exposure & composition.

Oh yes - and straightening the horizon in the second pic would be good also....

Yeah I tried to get one of him facing me but he was here there and everywhere haha

Love the dogs name. Looks like Roanhead? A clap / whistle might have made him turn / look round or he might just be one of those dogs who prefers to annoyingly look the other way.

Yeah it's Roanhead, was so busy with dog walkers he was actually watching a couple walk by when I took it.

He was full of energy so the ones I did get of him he moved at the last minute and made them blurry
