A fine healthy looking animal, with such a set of whiskers infers a specific bottom feeding habit so hopefully (bearing in it is 'away from home') it will remain healthy &finding food ok.

I was very fortunate that it was just hauling out on the slipway soon after we arrived - the only other one I've seen had curly ones as it had been drying off for a few hours.

A fine healthy looking animal, with such a set of whiskers infers a specific bottom feeding habit so hopefully (bearing in it is 'away from home') it will remain healthy &finding food ok.

Lots of crabs and shellfish close to shore around here so hopefully it'll do fine before it heads away - and avoiding all the Orcas
