I have never seen a Beefly myself I have looked and will look again soon.

Thanks Alf. Few about today and they are masters of flight. They also seem to teleport themselves. One second they are there and then ,,,,gone.

Thanks Paul. These were in my ole mums garden, and only on the Grape Hyacinths. They feed like humming bird hawk moths and hover perfectly still which gives you a chance to shoot them flying. ....When you find them. And if it's sunny.

The Bees and #3 are the best of the set.... think I need to start planting some stuff in my garden to be able to attract more bugs :D

Excellent set of shots, not the easiest of insects to shoot as they are always on the move when l try.

Usually only see the belfries early in spring and they favour the primrose flowers.
