These were captured hand-held in our garden with my FZ330 bridge camera and Raynox 150 close-up lens with KX800 twin flash. All used f/8, which in terms of DoF and loss of sharpness from diffraction is equivalent to f/45 on full frame. The raw files were batch processed in DXO Optics Pro and Silkypix Developer Pro, with image-specific adjustments in Lightroom. There are 1300 pixel high versions of these images in this album and this album at Flickr.

The colours in the first are so sweet, Nick!

Lovely work Nick I was shooting bees today but could hardly find any flowers so no feeing did find nest sites though.

Good photos, what species nests did you find? I have only seen bumblebee nests once - and that was after a badger got there first.
