Here's a snap of some semi-wild ponies that I managed to grab before they got spooked and walked off. I was on Llanddywn island just off Newborough beach and there was a smallgroup of them huddled by a stile on the way onto the island. Now if I could just lure them to the lighthouse for a more interesting composition! Anyway, I'm new to photography so any technical/compositional tips and critique would be more than welcome.

It's a good shot which would benefit if the horse behind hadn't been in the shot overlapping the chin (do horses have chins!?) of the main horse.

I would also see if I could brighten the eye to lift it.

Lightening the eye is a good idea. Unfortunately all the shots I have of this horse either feature other ponies in the background (there was a group of five or so) or they just have plain sky from where I've got down low to try and move the other horses out of shot. Unfortunately they weren't there long before they moved on.
