If I shoot something with slow shutter speed with my 400mm f2.8 then it's usually for artistic purposes - but on Monday evening I arrived to see the ospreys just before sunset and it was dark in the shade where this one was eating, needed 800mm at least so had 2x convertor on - tried various settings but couldn't find anything that worked well until I went to 1/30th of a second - shot with lens perched on a bean bag - not the best pic I'll take of an osprey but glad I managed to get something
