Big Nest, Big Fish

Took these two shots of the Osprey last week at Rutland. The first of the nest was taken with the 300 f4 lens + 2x ext on MF and the second was with the same lens + 1.4 ext AF. I know quality is poor due to both shots having big crops and the distance. I was surprised at the size of the fish that the bird was carrying but anyway I thought I would share them.

Here is a link to Rutland Ospreys, you may have to scroll down to the bit about carrying. I think if they carried them the other way round the fishes tale would flap about in the Ospreys face, so that is why they carry them the way they do.
