Excellent use of b&w. It brings back the atmosphere of the last days of steam, unlike the shiny, highly preserved excursions which we see so many pics of.

They've still got the scaffolding up on the pit head I see. Been up for ages. I do like the shot Treff, B+W really adds to it. This is easily the best shot of that train I've seen.
This is one of my places to go shooting, the railway down the road usually gets a visit the same time. Theres some amamazing shots there if you can get a wander around the old shunting yards at the back, loads of old wagons and stuff.
