Bird ID help

All on it's own - on a tree top - I would say this bird was around the size of a Jay - definately considerably larger than a Blackbird. As soon as it saw me getting my large lens out scrambled and disappeared. Anybody know what it was? I would have guessed a Thrush, but wouldn't have thought a Mistle Thrush

you are right with mistle thrush.

Aren't they more ground feeders? And quite small? This was a considerable size, and seemed happy in the tree tops.

Mistle Thrushes are actually quite big and certainly bigger than a Song thrush by a couple of inches.
