Hi Bruno,

Tonal taming is any tweak performed to "tame" the
mid-range tones of a picture — along with the high
lights, the low lights, the mid tones may be tweaked.

The benefit is huge since it is there that micro sat-
ration and micro contrast are hiding with no need
to add more of those.
