Black Mountains from The Blorenge

Thanks Carl. I was going to do a blend of exposures to even things out a bit but in the end just tweaked the light and shadows in the one frame.
out of curiosity Mike, that huge stone in the front, has a hold in the middle - looks like a wheel of some kind, I'd guess something to do with milling (wheat maybe?) - but it seems an awful long way from a stream/river - any idea of what it is?

I did ask on my Facebook page when I uploaded it if anyone had any ideas because I thought the same. A couple of my friends that are knowledgable of local history said that it was quarried and cut up on the mountain but didnt make the grade for some reason. The rock in the valley is sandstone and therefore very soft so unsuitable for millstones. The rock higher up is granite.
