Black Vulture

A stunning sight seeing around 200 or more Vultures in the air next to the hide i was in last week. These birds are massive when in full flight mode like this one. A very very important bird and this was photographed in a large European stronghold.

Cruso it has a wingspan of aprox 3m- its massive, even more so when it gets close.

It was taken in the Gredos mountains in central Spain.

yeah Kevin the guy (Luis Enrique Serrano) looks after this and monitors them, the goodies are a side line of him being up there owning land to monitor the black and griffon vultures, you can have 200 in the air around you at once.
