I've always used ND Grads but find them a pain to work with. I have to carry them around, choose the correct filter, position it, swop the filters out when the light fades etc.
I know there are a lot of people here the blend their images and use luminosity masking. I have TK Actions and I understand Luminosity masking but I'm really struggling with blending images successfully.
How the hell to you blend something when you have something moving, like a tree branch in the wind (or even just a gentle breeze)? I just end up with a bloody mess.
I've tried blending two images, multiple images and it just doesn't work.
So to all those folks that say blending is the be all and end all and ND Grads are old school. What's the secret?
