Captive Blue Tit drinking silver birch sap

Observed this for about ten days mid April last year, the holes were made by a GSW initially, sap tasted like sugared water

Nice detailed sharp shot there and very nicely composed. The sap must be the coca-cola of the tree world nice and sweet.

I've tried the sap as well, it is quite nice.

Fabulous photo and capture of behaviour.

The only thing I would consider is whether to clone out the background branch running down from the upper righthand corner. I find that it does visually compete with the bird's leg and tail.

A nice behaviour shot Brian,reminds me when I got kicked out of a park many years ago. Tapping the Silver tree`s and collecting the sap to make wine. Ah those were the day`s
