Good morning all,

This is a shot that I took last night at Bournemouth Beach and spent the evening in LR5, PSCC and Silver Efex Pro 2.

I've been watching a lot of videos about the importance of getting a full tonal range in black and white photos.

Any comments are more than welcome, good or bad.

Thanks for looking.

Michael.

I keep coming back to look at this as it is a slow burner. When I first looked I quite liked it but now I really like it. Definitely got lots of tonal range, a very nice composition and it has an air of mystery to it.
If I was to be really nit picky I would say that the top of the groyne is a bit near to the horizon to be perfect but that is really just being picky for picky's sake.
Excellent work and very good processing.

Andy

I like the simplicity of this, and the tones, but your horizon is way out.

Thanks Andy, would you have had the groyne higher or lower in that composition?

Way out? I'll agree that it's out but not way out
;)
