Not the easiest to photograph but much loved by my wife as it belonged to her Grand-Dad.

You did quite a good job there Dunc!

I see, nevertheless, three points you could improve on before
you break down your set:

1, the face of the clock could take some more light
2, the glass cover should find a solution
3, the hinges of the box should find their solution too.

For the rest, you got good tonal expression and specular control.

Many thanks for that, K! I agree with those points. Hinges and light shouldn't be a problem. The glass cover hinges to the watch and is more difficult to deal with.
 
Just to be clear, guys, I had a very nice PM from Kodiak making some suggestions for improving the image like healing the cracks etc.. The intention with this shot was just to record what the watch actually looked like, rather than create an artistically pleasing image. Had that been the case the old watch box wouldn't have been my first choice for props and I'd have given the watch a good clean before shooting it. :)

Here's an example of how I do watch images when I'm looking for a little more artistic merit. :wacky:
