B&W Bridge near Barden Bridge, North Yorkshire

I always photograph this bridge near Barden, North Yorkshire and I always hate the way the light shows.

I guess this time round it isn't too bad in black and white

It's actually an aqueduct, it hides the pipe that carries water from the reservoirs at the top of Nidderdale to the cities of West Yorkshire.
On the Barden Estate it was part of the agreement for permission to build it that it was 'in character' with the estate.

For many years (about 24) it was part of our Xmas Walk with our Cub Scouts & Leaders (Prestwich & Whitefield) with activities on and nearby.
Acting as castle, fort and whatever else we needed, a reminder of a very big part of my life!
