Thank you George. I am going to cut and paste the reply from another forum where the same question was asked:Very nice architectural style capture Keith, with a good mono presentation.
"I'd be interested to know just how you got that PP effect, it looks different from the norm' and it's very much to my liking"
It was taken from the first floor beer garden as we waited for friends to arrive about a hour or so before it got dark in late March. Obviously it was the sky that caught my interest but the sun had already gone off bridge and most of the buildings, it was a right pain to get something decent out of it in colour. The sky was reasonable just needed a bit of an exposure grad and a radial grad to take down the corners, the area in shade needed a different colour balance, more contrast, more saturation and more exposure except for the river which was slightly over exposed. Not happy with it I saved a colour copy and tried a mono conversion in Silver EFX (yellow filter and Kodak Plus X curve) . It needed a lot of dodging in the mid tones of the bridge and buildings, it actually prints on glossy paper with a B&W profile a bit smoother than it looks here or on Flickr, looking back I over did the structure a bit.
In short I messed around with a shot that had been ignored on the iPhone for three months because I did not like it at the time.
