Hi all,

Had a very enjoyable day at the BTCC yesterday, first time shooting a Sporting event and cars. My first time at a BTCC event as well, I think I'll now be following the BTCC a lot more. Brilliant cars.

Thought I'd share some pics with you; Canon 700D and 70-300 USM / 55-250 STM

Few pics from today... was a lovely day out :)

I like the set, although I feel that shots 2 and 3 would benefit hugely from a lower shutter speed to give a better sense of speed.

This...

Motorsport shots with cars looking stationary is a pet hate of mine :D

Slower shutter speed would blur the background and show the wheels rotating. Down side is you bin a lot of shots until you get a good feel for panning. On a slow corner like Druids at Brands you are looking at around 1/160 or slower and you can up that to around 1/250-1/320 on fast straights to start with, its just trial and error. The slower the shutter, the faster the car will look :)
