Bubbles question

First attempt at some bubble photography and on quite a few images I had the criss cross pattern at the bottom of the images. I wondered what it is. I used a Laowa 100mm 2xMacro with flash directly above, probably no more than 6 inches above the bubble. Thoughts please. :) Bubbles 21.jpg

To me it looks like it is probably a sharpening/color noise reduction artifact.
Just checked the SOOC Steven in LR and it is on there. I didn't use LR to edit, I used Capture One. C1 does, as you may well know apply presets on import, depending on camera. Thought I would check in a different programme and the 'pattern' is still there.

LR also applies default settings on import.
IDK, I've never looked at a bubble that closely, but I would be surprised if there was actually such a pattern on/in one. And it doesn't look to be directly pixel/sensor related (i.e. pixelation).

I would try the manufacturer software; I've seen many times where Nikon's own software does better than any third party.
