Clearly, you've been working the shot, Mark. (y)

The light house is obviously the main subject but is never
occupying more than 1/15th of the real estate of a frame.
In such a case, I would not give the same presence to all
the elements in the scene by including them in the DOF
… just me. :cool:

Decent attempt but considering it's probably the least photogenic lighthouse I've ever seen maybe there isn't a shot there. There again perhaps the nice weather was working against you and stormy skies would work for this subject.
