Blea Tarn for me, been there quite a few times and always like it.

Nice calm water resulting in a wonderful reflection. Looks much better on Flickr. I'm not overly keen on the FG rocks, as they are a little jumbled. Sky wasn't playing either.

None the less, you can't control the clouds :)

Cheers.

Love reflections. I think often a bit less can be a lot more. I'd have gone beyond the rocks and gone with a little longer focal lenght to give a more natural looking perpsective than this ultra wide one. You've got quite a lot of sky there which isn't doing a lot in your frame.

I was down at buttermere a few months back and found it a difficult place to work. Stunning to look at but just could find that image i wanted. It would be interesting to know how you felt about the location.

2nd pic appeals strongly to me- beautifully composed, lovely rich and mellow colours, really strong & dramatic wilderness scene.

Thanks very much! I thought it was good but wasn't sure it lived up to the hype to be honest! There was also no reflection when I went, luckily I'm pretty happy with the alternative shot I managed to get
