I managed to get this morning to play in the snow, MWIS forecast was spot on. With the snow not being consolidated, it was a bit of slog in the dark. The first section around Ogwen car park to Idwal was ok as it was packed from the day walkers but the higher areas was like talc and i fell through many times. The top style was almost covered with drifts ! There are some serious depths up there at the moment.

Great job on the colours there. Beautifully held whites too. Toss up between 1 + 2 for me but I think 2 edges it.

You have more nerve than me I am sad to say, (I don't like the extremes of cold (or heat) but well worth the slog to get them. It is No1, No3 and No 4 for me in that order

Very nice images 10 out of 10 for effort! - I was thinking about getting out this morning but when it came to it I went back to bed with a fresh cup of coffee....:rolleyes:

I dont like being too hot, had to loose a layer walking up as i was sheltered from the wind. Thank you

Yes i did go that route up. steeper than I thought. The snow had erased all the steps so it was just a frozen slope. it was indeed a slog !

Glad someone else did the slog so I could see the images ;), lovely set.
We drove thru the Ogden valley couple of years ago on our way to pick up a Maine Coon kitten from Blaenau Ffestiniog, the road was clear but the valley was white with snow, quite stunning.
 
That's a great drive I frequently drive through there myself
 
Oooh for number 2. That snow “wave” is an exceptional foreground. Well worth the effort and I bet you absolutely loved being out there, camera or not.
