Canal Bridge

[Ryewolf]

Taken last year: Canal Bridge on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, near the midway mark at Church. I would have liked to have got a wider shot with the complete arch, but there's some very unsightly pipes that spoil it.

The composition I adore but there is something not quite right with the shadow detail to my mind.

I feel the stonework should be darker than the foliage which is bathed in strong sunlight. I would prefer to see everything 'this side' to be darker. I think you'd end up with an even stronger image rather than something which has attempted to capture and put detail into everything.
