The thread title says "street style". We've had a lot of non-street shots in here over the years.
In all seriousness: what is "street style"? In my experience: if you ask 2 photographers you do seem to get at least 3 answers.

Do you people get much hassle photographing strangers in the street?

I don't.

But I tend to stick to touristy parts where I'm not the only one waving a camera. Actually I don't wave, I use a discrete little camera and shoot from the hip, look at the subject before during and after the shot through the camera (LCD), not directly. After the shot (or burst of shots) I stay where I am, a togger making a quick getaway is suspect. If someone questions me I say it's a camera club project and offer to delete the photo should they wish, any hint of confrontation is immediately calmed. :)

Thought I'd try some gritty processing ...

Chinese Gestapo and togger.

Liking these two candid street style shots very much, I'd be really interested to know how you got this PP effect.

George.

Thanks George

So, as ever, straighten, crop, sharpen and levels in Paint.Net ... (also good for other stuff: layers, cloning ... )

Then, as ever, I uploaded to Photos Google. I've recently discovered their editing tools and things called "presets". The first was one called Ollie, the second, Blush. Child's play but effective. See this ....

Are you going to give it a go? All you need is a gmail address, and you've automatically got a cloud for some pics. These one-click edits/effect can be done/undone at any time. A bit of fun on top of your main PP done on you pc.
