I believe that the top one is a common carp and the bottom one a mirror carp.

I like the first shot. May i ask though: were the pics heavily enhanced? Or is that just light bouncing about inside the water causing everything to have outlines?

That second one is very dark, usually means it's from an old natural fish rather than farm bred, which a lot of fish are these days.

These were taken on Thursday at about 2pm in very hot and very bright sunshine, under a clear blue sky.

Very near my thoughts. In pic 1 the fish looks like its outside an aircraft window at 35,000 feet.
