Back home last weekend and visited Castell Coch for the first time in years.

Comments/critique very welcome!

Good compostion and lead in, light and time of day isn't ideal. I'd shoot with the sun lower and behind me giving lovely long shadows casting onto the castle.

Nice reasonablly non convergiving verticals too.

Thanks Steve - agree completely about the light. Next time I'm down I'll try and go at a better time of day.

It's an interesting documentary shot, fine to stick in their brochure, but as Steve says, different light would make a big difference. However, what a great, interesting looking building, your image makes me want to visit.

Or (!) you could go for a spooky, Count Dracula vibe. Wait until it's a stormy day to get some nice ominous, dark clouds and maybe even some lightning forks too.
