Thanks folks. The Chaffies have been on a right old feeding frenzy most of the day with the sudden drop in temperature, so that helped a lot.

With shots like these - who needs a 50d?!

Yep 40D for these, but these were only taken at around 20-25 feet. I'll definitely be getting the 50D before long for the extra reach. 50% more pixels than the 40D has got to show an improvement.
