Church Interiors - an open thread.

Today I've been to a small church off Oxford St. London, with homeless blokes sleeping there. I love it so much it takes me two hours to get five photos.

All Saints, Margaret St.

Thanks Geof - there's a cable car. :p There is a proper path too, but I reckon it would take an hour or so.

i never walked up to the top of Massada either...saw your temptation church from Jericho...and wished i had gone up
cheers
geof

I'd have liked to walk up to Masada, but it's 2hrs + and we had too much in the schedule. The seige ramp that the Romans built is just amazing for it's sheer size.

Naturally I may have a couple of additional sets of church pictures from Israel. ;)

yes...that ramp!! it was built on timber as at that time the area was forested...so they say..
the romans certainly got a shock when they arrived..:)

Light levels were EXTREMELY low, hence using a 50 @ f2 and ISO 3200 - my preference would have been for 20mm and f8, but that would have been unmanageable without a tripod, and THAT wasn't going to happen in possibly the busiest chapel in the world.

Basilica of the annunciation in Nazareth - a vast concrete edifice on 3 levels. These are just holiday snaps, rather than having photographic merit.

Some nice images shared. I am always partial to Church or Cathedral interiors, it'
s not that I am religious or anything, the detail just amazes me, the effort that went into constructing some of these buildings has to be appreciated regardless of religion. Even more so when you consider the differences in tools and methods available.
