Hey all I'm down Cirencester/Swindon way for work and have a bit of free time coming up.
I was wondering if any of the local wildlife photographers could help out with any good spots for someone who fancies having a go at taking pictures of animals in their natural habitat.

I don't mind having to do a bit of hiking or getting somewhere in the dark for sun up.

Much appreciated for any help people can provide.

We used to spend quite a lot of time around the Cotswold Water Park. If you go to the visitors centre on the Spine Rd they've got maps and info.

Always enjoyed a visit here

Never failed to see the otters, occasionally fairly close. I've had a quick Google but can't find any recent reported sightings of them but its worth a visit, its free and good for birds, butterflies, dragonflies, ect (y)

There are hides at Coate water on the outskirts of Swindon, they are locked and you contact the site office to arrange access. Last time I mentioned I had been for a recce someone mentioned that the Cotswold water park is a better bet, but you may want some variety if about for a while.
